The Curse Of TamilNadu: SYCOPHANCY

Dravidian Parties in TamilNadu love sycophancy. The Leaders want to be praised in their sleep as Leaders, the World has never seen and yet to see. There seems apparently no exception as other parties try to follow these dimwits.

Karunanidhi spent most of his time in office spending time with sycophants and attending programs eulogizing him as the greatest Littérateur or Administrator this world has ever seen. He never gets tired of praisers which a normal sane human would do. His detractor, Jayalalithaa, calls herself a Mother despite not having nurtured a child and has greatest thrill in blessing people above her age prostrate before her. She calls herself as the Messiah of Social Justice. Irony is that these people profess EQUALITY of people and communities. Mismatch between lips and deeds, here it is in abundance.

Let us make a quick assessment of these Leaders.

Karunanidhi , a sweet tongued orator has clear personal goals. Annadurai's son Parimalam told me that Anna used to be wary of Karunanidhi's games and Karunanidhi used to call him short guy(kuttaiyan). Though absent at DMK's founding meeting , he prevailed on the Director of the movie Periyar to amplify as if he was present on the occasion. Lies are his forte. pretense his breadth. His weakness for his family was exemplified at the World Tamil Classic Conference(which began the death knell of his party) at Coimbatore wherein his family adorned the dais and other family members gave cultural performances despite being novices. Self interest and self importance are the purpose of this man.

Jayalalithaa's party men burnt down a bus carrying girl college students and 3 girls died in the planned event. till today, Jayalaithaa has not apologized to the incident as any person, leave alone a Mother, will do. What kind of mind does this female possess who loves calling herself a revolutionary female?
Recently she spoke in the TamilNadu assembly in response to Opposition Leader Vijaykanth's tirade against her. She was wild, with ugly facial contortions seen on women at the local public water taps whenever there is a fight for a pot of water. She called Vijaykanth ineligible to hold office...What eligibility she has except the fact that she was MGR's concubine? If she claims that people have chosen her to high office, it is also a fact that they have elected Vijaykanth. Arrogance, short temper, revengeful, petty..Jayalalithaa is all these rolled into one.

Jayalalithaa has been dumping her Ministers and shuffling them like a pack of cards on a weekly basis. It is a different matter that none of the Ministers have any ability or credibility except as street thugs who can play double games and it doesn't matter whether they remain in office or not. people are never the beneficiaries. As i write this , she has blocked ads to important newspapers such as The Hindu, Times of India, Deccan Chronicle and Dinamalar because they chose not to praise her for her follies. Misuse of public machinery and public wealth has been the bane of Political parties.

The bigger problem with these Misleaders in Tamilnadu is that they do not suspect sycophants but are wary of honest critics. They hallucinate themselves as Gods.
They do not realise that they are being vulgar in their self displays but feel secure like a frog in the well in the safety of pathetic supporters who will most willingly desert them when better opportunities to make a living without working for it, comes their way.

People should try and become different so their lives will become different. Otherwise they will continue to eat shit packed to look like treasures .

Indian Government's imbroglio on General V K Singh's age issue.

Ex bureaucrat P M Belliappa’s article in The Hindu dated 29th Jan 2012 was interesting though it was another run of the mill by yet another typical Indian bureaucrat. Typical. Why typical? We will discuss this last but look at the author’s arguments now.

The author starts with a profound judgement that the Army Chief General V K Singh is fond of being younger like women. That is fine considering that everyone wants to look younger these days including Mr Belliappa and we can dismiss his observation lightly as hilarious. Whoever wants to look older or his real age? But to rest a case that a person is older or younger should be based on facts not presumptions. The author is guilty of attempting to drag us into a bureaucratic trap by habit. What are his facts to substantiate the Govt claim? The Public have a right to know. There was none in his article.

The two instances he quotes are interesting but though they appear analogous, they are superficial to the issue at hand. The claim against Judge A S Anand was false and the Judge Ramachandra Iyer supposedly resigned though it was difficult to believe there were birth records in early 1900s which was preserved for nearly 60 years. We are not given to understand the authenticity of the birth record either. Occasions such as Shashtiabadapoorthi are held on star birthday and not based on English calendar. Most often birthdays are recorded either as hearsay or as astrological jadakams. But both these analogies differ from the army chief’s case as the present claim is for a factual recognition of a DOB which was lower than the one on records. The description on the working of the Public dept seems an attempt to spice up an otherwise bland article planned to pull down the Army Chief.

There is also an irrelevant appreciation of Manmohan Singh in the article for keeping mum on the issue. Is there any issue on which the PM has ever opened his mouth unless pressurized by Opposition? How has this quietness a proof of his wisdom as claimed by him? Bureaucrats believe sycophancy will bring practical benefits and what else can one presume here for an unsubstantiated claim.

Let us see the facts of the case now:

The present Army General V;K Singh was born on 10 May 1951 at the Military Hospital at Khadki in Pune while his father was posted as a Major in Indian Army in Pune. As required by Army regulations, his father informed his army unit the birth of his son, and V K Singh’s date of birth was recorded in the service records of the father, Major Jagat Singh, as 10 May 1951.

As a fourteen year old boy, Singh wrote his year of birth as 1950 in his application form for admission to the National Defence Academy in 1965. His father provided the NDA with documentation (a certificate from 14 Rajput Regiment's commanding officer certifying Vijay Kumar Singh's date of birth as 10 May 1951 as per service records of the father) on 3 August 1965 correcting the mistake much before VK Singh took the NDA's written exam in June 1966. The Indian Military Academy (IMA) where he received training also corrected his date of birth as 10 May 1951 when he submitted documentary evidence. However, the Military Secretary branch recorded his date of birth as 10 May 1950 on the basis of his application form to NDA. The records in Adjutant General (AG) Branch of the Indian Army, which is the official record keeper of the army, show Singh's date of birth as 10 May 1951. Singh has repeatedly asked for the date to be corrected by the Military Secretary branch.

Another fact was that the Military Secretary (MS) wrote to (Ministry of Defence) MoD to fix DOB of General V.K. Singh as 10 May 1950, and Bimal Julka, then Joint Secretary [JS (G)] disagrees with the line of thinking and directs MS to carry out an inquiry on DOB issue in conjunction with AG;instead of carrying out the inquiry, “Inquiry Not To Be Held” is endorsed by the Chief / MS. Why this manipulation was allowed to take place is the fundamental question and a genuine error not corrected? I know of instances wherein many Officers have corrected their date of births by giving affidavits in the 70s and 80s, some of them false. A colleague of my father, who was also his classmate, gained 5 years this way and was in Tamilnadu Government Service for many years after my father in law retired. But for a genuine factual error, a hullabaloo is raised.

The Government wants to right a wrong and doesn't want to correct a wrong based on facts. How stupid can a government get to be?

There is a brilliant argument that the Army Chief should quit office and wait for Supreme Court’s verdict. Does our Constitution prohibit serving officers from approaching courts? Not to my knowledge. If Officers are not to approach courts, why do we have CAT, SAT and Military tribunals not to forget other Courts which should explicitly reject petitions by serving members of government if they were wrong. Supreme Court ruling that matriculation certificate is sole authority for DOB and inputs by AG that the DOB of General V.K. Singh has been 10 May 1951 consistently with them. Why this desperation on the part of GoI to deal with Army Chief and wont their stature grow if they had an open mind on this issue or on any other issue. Indian bureaucracy is terribly egoistic and they can never be fair nor they can act to appear to act as fair too.

If the Army chief had resigned and the Supreme Court decided in the affirmative to the request, the judgement would have become worthless, which was what the government desires. The author seems to put forth the government’s view point, typical of a bureaucrat but not so typical of an ex bureaucrat, if he doesn’t have an axe to grind.

Now let me explain why the arguments are typical. Indian bureaucrats are modelled after the British who founded Bureaucracy in India. Today’s bureaucrats think like British rulers and also believe that native Indians are meant to be ruled. So what follows is manipulation often time; none can out beat them. I should know because my wife was a Police Officer chosen by UPSC Civil Service exam. When the system appeared corrupt, she raised vital issues to the Government. Instead of helping deal with issues of corruption, she was hounded…all her disciplinary actions against my subordinates were set aside. Senior officers made frequent inspections to her office and noted that she had become inefficient suddenly despite having received the DG of Police’s Meritorious Certificate in her first year of Service. When she chose to resign, the Govt didn’t respond within the stipulated 3 months time but on the fourth month, she was charge sheeted as Corrupt. When they chose to drop the charges later for lack of proof they worded their enquiry conclusion to sound that she was indeed corrupt but was being pardoned coz of her exemplary service. They also demanded 3 months of salary as training charges which she paid under protest to accept my resignation. When she sent a legal notice on this, the Govt returned the salary later. Believe me, Bureaucracy in India is a career in India and never an opportunity to serve people. It is constant manipulation that is the breadth of bureaucracy barring exceptions. It is also worth noting the author is Britain educated.

Can Anna Hazare impact India?

Indians can be terribly Sensitive especially to themselves. If they believe in something, they can not think about that something.
Today's hype is about Anna Hazare.Any hero worshipping has its back lashes and with the support of Indian Media which specialises in trivialising and sensationalism,Anna today is a big Hero. He supposedly brought down the Corrupt Congress Government to issue a Government Order on the Lokpal Bill. Not a mean achievement considering the vested interests Indian Politicians hold.
But,I want to think much against my genetical compulsions as an Indian.
India became a Republic in 1950 meaning that the Sovereignty of Indian Constitution came into place.During the 60 years since enactment of our Constitution, how often has been the Supremacy of our Constitution has been respected. What forced enactment of the n number of amendments to it?Even the preamble has been tampered with by Indira Gandhi with a Poltical motive as she added Socialist to defining India. The challenge is that even the Constitution of India was mutilated to adjust to the Political demands of the time by Politicians whose only aim was to stay in Power so they can misuse Power.
Now to the moot question: Now that the Anti corruption Bill is to be enacted at Anna's instance, can we presume India will not be corrupt anymore. Will Anna Hazare and his vociferous supporters take responsibilty if there is any instance of Corruption in India? Am sure that Anna's supporters will be agitated with me for asking basic questions, but questioning issues is not the prerogative of Anna.It is mine too.
Let us see what happened to Anna's fasts of the past. Pl see Wikipedia :
When dust settles,it will become clearer that Corruption in Maharashtra didnt come down despite Anna's fast unto death that ended on 17th August 2003.Adarsh Scam is just one example and India's finest Corrupticians live in Maharashtra. There are many coincidences apart from the fact that the Fasts lasted exactly 4 days.
Am afraid that apart from pushing Anna Hazare to the National scene, the fast that ended just now will make no impact on the India's corrupt.Because a huge Majority are corrupt and think it is beneath their dignity to respect even traffic laws and stop before the stop line on roads.
The only solution is a cultural renaissance that will shame those without personal discipline.India had it before the British stepped foot.A respect for our Heritage can bring about a sense of respect towards fellow Indians.
I will be happier if am proved wrong and Anna and his followers set examples for respect of Law and in the process lead Honest lives even in private.

Why DMK should go in TamilNadu?

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam,DMK in short was a breakaway faction of E V Ramasamy naicker's Dravida Kazhagam which was built on anti Brahmanism. The Break up took place as its Founder C N Annadurai who later became DMK's first Chief Minister didnt agree to Naicker's second marriage to a girl named Maniyammai younger to him by decades. Naicker with all his tall talk on Women's Equality didnt think twice to wed a girl in her 20s while in his 60s. Annadurai showed that he had Principles...much more than his compatriots in his party.
DMK captured Power in 1967 on the Planks of High Promises on anti Brahminism, Rationalism,Price rise control, etc. Unfortunately Annadurai feel a victim to Cancer and ironically the fresh winds that blew while he was alive died too instateneously.Annadurai made a few Cosmetic touches like renaming Madras State as Tamilnadu, etc. Karunanidhi became Chief Minister after a nasty Power battle with his senior in party Nedunchezhian. He continues DMK's Supremo since then. His Party Treasurer and matinee idiol M G Ramachandran sought accounts for the Madurai DMK Conference and he was summarily dismissed from the Party thereby heralding the achilles heel DMK has had since then: the greed for Money and Power and the vulgar display of Money and Power.
M G Ramachandran became Chief Minister in 1977 and was Chief Minister until his death in 1987. He called his party Anna D M K to proclaim that his party is the true follower of Annadurai. Let us try and get the whole picture on these two Dravidian parties.
MGR was a strong theist and his frequent visits to Mugambigai temple in Karnataka held surprise.Karunanidhi tirades against superstition went hollow as he wore a yellow shawl presumably on the advise of an astrologer. He frequently laments his fate when chips are down there by exposing his feverish mind.Jayalalitha is a believer,if there was any.And surprise of all she is a Brahmin Leader in a Anti Brahmin Movement.
As person with deep contacts in TamilNadu government, am aware that nothing in Government will move without greasing palms of those in authority.Have you ever visited Chennai's Greenways road and checked how many poor men are embraced with open arms by DMK Ministers? The fact is you will see a parade of cars of the rich and the powerful and you will not be allowed to see any Minister if you do not belong to the affluent clan. to think that Karunanidhi repeating that he sees God in the smiles of the Poor is fatal satire.Karunanidhi who says he doesnt believe in God obviously doesnt believe in making the Poor smile. His focus is on the Rich and making his family rich.
The Dravidian parties have outlasted the purpose for which they were founded. It is by repeating old rhetory such as the dravidian and aryan divide they would like to sustain themselves in power. They are just Power hungry and their food is the people of TamilNadu. They will not settle unlessTamilians apply their minds and are able to distinguish between cheese and chalk.
God save TamilNadu!

Tamils fast becoming alcoholics

The British opened thousands of Opium shops in India so they come down
on Indian heritage and leave Indians without any depth of Culture.

Indian Governments are doing the same but TamilNadu Government takes the cake.
They have opened Government run Alcohol shops and now Tamils in Tamilnadu
are gulping alcohol like hell.

Just see the statistics provided by TamilNadu Government on beer consumption in Tamilnadu through the years..

Yearly Production Sales
(Crore Bulk Litres) (in LakhBoxes)

1996-1997 5.33 100.43
1997-1998 5.25 101.79
1998-1999 5.29 109.01
1999-2000 4.23 105.81
2000-2001 5.76 111.66
2001-2002 5.06 114.69
2002-2003 4.32 97.16
2003-2004 5.95 86.35
2004-2005 7.78 89.01
2005-2006 10.62 132.27

2007-2008 15.80 196.36
2008-2009 17.11 223.72

E V Ramasamy wanted his followers to be idiots. The Tamilnadu
Government that proudly claims to his thoughts as its Principles,
is doing its best so that People have no sense of their History,
heritage and Culture.
It is easy to misrule over such dump people. Am hurt coz am a Tamil.

Kick OUT, the Nawab of Arcot

In Free India, honouring traitors who betrayed Indian Nationalist sentiments is a travesty. Yet many traitors are being honoured while patriots and freedom fighters are given pittance and lip sympathies.

The Nawabs of Arcot belong to the lineage of these traitors.Noe they have shifted track and pretending to be Patriotic. The Present Nawab ,Nawab Muhammed Abdul Ali, should not be given Government patronage but because he is a Muslim and a Poltical Muslim at that, he is kept high on Government Protocol. Let us have a glimpse of the history of this Nawab.

The thirteenth Nawab, Ghulam Muhammad Ghouse Khan (1825–1855), died without issue and the British annexed the Carnatic Nawabdom applying the doctrine of lapse. Ghouse Khan's uncle Azim Jah was created the first Prince of Arcot (Amir-E-Arcot) in 1867 by Queen Victoria, and was given a tax free pension in perpetuity. This privilege continues to be honoured by the Government of India. This status is protected by the Indian Constitution and the family continues to retain its privileges and titles. The warrant of Precedence needs to be cancelled as India as a Democracy can not recognize loyalty. It is ludicrous thet India calls herself the World's Largest democracy while recognising dead Monarchies as Monarchies. The current Prince of Arcot Abdul Ali came to the title in July 1994.

Pl read the Government order especially those in bold letters to understand the Nawabs. This was taken from their website:

Government's Gazette of April 1871:

Political Department,
Fort S1. George,
Madras.

Notification
Fort St. George April 18, 1871

At 5.30 p.m., on the 12th April 1871, His Excellency the Governor held a Durbar in the Banqueting Hall, for the purpose of presenting to His Highness Prince Azim Jah Bahadur, the Letters Patent issued by Command of Her Most Gracious Majesty the Queen, investing His Highness and his successors with the title and dignity of Ameer-e-Arcot or Prince of Arcot, in India.

The Chief Justice of Madras, the Members of Council, the Provincial Commander-in-Chief, the principal Civil and Military officials of the Presidency, and a large number of residents of Madras were present on this occasion. One of the Governor's carriages, containing Aide-de-camp to His Excellency the Governor and the Under-Secretary started from Government House at 5 minutes to 5.00 p.m., for the purpose of conveying His Highness Prince Azim Jah from his residence, the Shadi Mahal, to the Durbar. A party of the Body Guard were in attendance. The sons and grandsons of His Highness and the gentleman of his suite followed in His Highness' own carriages in the rear of the Body Guard.

A Company from each of the corps in Garrison was present as a guard of honour.

On his Highness' arrival, a salute of 15 guns was fired and the guard of honour presented arms. On alighting, His Highness was received at the foot of the steps by the Chief Secretary to Government and by the Private Secretary to His Excellency who conducted him to the Hall. His Excellency the Governor met His Highness at the entrance of the Hall, and led him to a seat on the dais on His Excellency's right.

After His Highness' sons and grandson had been presented, His Excellency the Governor addressing Prince Azim Jah said:-

"Prince Azim Jah Bahadur,... I have the honour to deliver to your Highness the Letters Patent by which Her Majesty the Queen has been graciously pleased to invest you and your successors with the title of Prince of Arcot. In conferring this dignity upon your Highness, Her Majesty the Queen has borne in mind the ties which have united the fortunes of your family with the growth and ascendancy of British Power in the South of India. The name which you and your posterity will bear will serve to recall and commemorate the days when your ancestors and our predecessors cemented their alliance in triumphs over a common adversary, but Her Majesty the Queen blends with memory of the past gracious solicitude for the present and the future.

Her Majesty deshes to mark the esteem in which she holds your Highness personally as the representative of an ancient, friendly and loyal house. She desires to perpetuate her favour in your descendants, and to continue to them, in few forms of honour and with new guarantees of welfare, the means of serving their sovereign and their country. We are happy to see your Highness surrounded by two generations of your offspring, who will convey to after times the recollection of this auspicious day. Your Highness will know how to impress on them the duty of bearing themselves wisely and usefully in the high station in which they have been now confirmed.

Price of Arcot, - I deem myself fortunate in conveying to your Highness, in your venerable age these tokens of the goodwill of our august Sovereign. I trust that you may long live to enjoy the favour of the Queen, the regard of this Government, the affection of your family and the respect of the people of this Presidency."

The Common adversary the Government Order speaks is the Locals called Indians. This family which was hand in glove with the British and perpetuated atrocities on Indians should not be honoured, any further.

Will anyone hear Sense in India?
